Una vita a colori

In Italian theaters from October 2026

Monet. Una vita a colori

The show is written and directed by Marco Goldin, who will take the stage together with two musicians: Remo Anzovino on piano and Daniela Savoldi on vocals and cello. It will debut in October 2026 and will be dedicated to the brilliantly colorful life of Claude Monet. On December 5, 2026, the centenary of the great painter’s death will fall, and under the banner “Monet 100” a true event will take place, created to celebrate one of the most beloved and influential artists in the entire history of art.

It will be a 90 minute show, making significant use of technology and stage machinery to convey, in an extremely engaging and modern language, the deeply poetic essence of Claude Monet’s life and work. The story of his existence, told through Marco Goldin’s narration, original music composed by Remo Anzovino and performed by him on piano together with Daniela Savoldi on cello, and the visual design curated by Alessandro Trettenero, will unfold in six moments, representing six seamlessly connected chapters.

Everything will originate from Marco Goldin’s new book, which will be released in September 2026 by La nave di Teseo, the literary partner of the show. The book will be titled Colloqui con Monet and will feature the author “meeting” Claude Monet in some of the most significant places of the artist’s life, engaging with him in dialogues about painting and about life. These “conversations” will form the backbone of the show, connected to masterpieces that will be brought to the stage in an atmosphere of continuous, hypnotic suggestion.

The setting has already been finalized, including the two positions for the musicians, who will be placed on specially built rotating platforms with ledwalls behind them.

large screen ten meters long and over five meters high will serve as the true backdrop for the show’s brilliantly colorful life, with a bench placed right in front, on which Marco Goldin will sometimes sit, listening to Monet’s words, which will arrive in a truly real dialogue in a very special way.

The tour will cover much of Italy, from north to south, performing in many of the country’s most prestigious theaters.
